VU Amsterdan Hydrology field courses Twente and Portugal

The 2013 hydrology field team

As usual, the Twente and Portugal field courses for our first-year MSc Hydrology students will start in May. This blog is maintained by studewnts and supervising staff and keeps you informed about our whereabouts.

The 2013 student team includes Louise, Seife, Jet, Rosa, Vince, Lourus, Maartje, Asta, Aikaterini, Anna, Eisse, Jelmer, Thomas, Joris, Bart, Corne, Robbert and Bob. Patricia Viera Pompeu will join the group as a guest exchange student. Henk Kooi, Richard de Jeu, Yvonne van Sligtenhorst, Boris van Breukelen, Michel Groen, Koos Groen and Maarten Waterloo are supervising. Together, we carry out hydrological field studies in Twente, The Netherlands, and around the city of Faro in the Algarve and the town of Vagos in North Portugal.

Two BSc Earth Sciences students (Valerie and Marijn) will join the team in Aveiro for their BSc science project.They will work on a small island in the Ria de Aveiro to map its freshwater land and determine its dynamics under tidal influence.
